Nicely written, Robert.

With only 80 years since the end of WWII, the lessons of the politics in the years leading up to that conflict are somehow being ignored. Estimates are that 75 Million people died as a result of WWII. I wish their spirits could collectively scream out a warning now.

Thanks, Brett. I think we've collectively forgotten what WWII and fascism really were. They now seem have some kind of forbidden attraction to the bored and the dissatisfied. One thing that struck me from grad school was the extent to which are clear political and economic cycles where people forget how serious crises and how they happened and let them happen again. It doesn't seem to matter that so many of us have been screaming about the danger for years. It's infuriating.

From Ireland I watch. I'm unsure who will loose first. Trump or Putin. Putin is under severe pressure, he has run out of conventional equipment, his oil and manufacturing is being hit by Ukraine and is currently very dangerous. Trump is a lifeline but his grip seems to be slipping. I feel Trump is spent, he felt he could do what he was elected to do, but he went the wrong way around doing it, now people are already disalusioned. He also must feel angry because he is not being followed. Gosh this cracker Jack is about to explode. I hope we all survive.
